Picked up my prado yesterday! But..... the wife is driving it today

I read a lot on here before getting it. I'm in Perth.

Reversing sensor (not quite sure about this thing yet - seems to beep at it's own exhaust )
I think the stock standard tyres, but they are very new at least

So far, I'm a very happy chappy - a new toy.

          now to get her dirty.

Sounds like you've had a ball in the Paj - and I reckon your going to enjoy the hell out of the Prado.

                              Thanks all.

                              Look forward to interesting discussons.

As to the Paj - its a company lease - coming to the end of its 2 years.
Picked up plenty of Gum tree pin stripes going down the seasonally closed tracks.

With HT tyres, the drought has been good for me. eg. The Kennet - Wye River jeep track is not one I would have attempted otherwise.

                              Regards, Ian

Thought I may as well jump on the bandwagon and introduce myself too. I am hoping to take delivery of my D4D manual GX at the end of July. I have had 4 Prado 90's in the past and have enjoyed every moment getting out and getting dirty. Never had a problem despite reports of weak front diffs, and I hope the rear diff issue on the 120 does not spoil my impression of what I think is one of the best all rounders on the market. Thanks heaps for the forum which has been very helpful in making my decision.
