A warm and heartfelt welcome to the largest Prado forum on the interweb. We trust your stay is relaxing, informative and enjoyable. Of course, if its not blame Moth. Just a fleeting thought of no particular importance, can you arrange cheap prices in SA? Not that I have any intention of taking advantage of a new and impressionable member of course. Feel free to PM a response in your own time, as you please (rear back panel that adjoins to the rear passanger door to the bumper would be a random yet interesting piece to look at for possible savings).
Anyway, enough idle chatter, welcome again and let me know if there is anything I can arrange someone else to do for you.

Hi menglee123 welcome to PP tones of useful info on here and very helpful people. IMO you have picked the best prado made, I'm biased though
As for your sunroof if your a bit useful on the tools it very easy to do your self and probable only takes an hour tops. I recently had mine replaced by the experts because I thought it was a big job, it not. Toyota Newcastle quoted me about $800 for the new one. Check out my post here on how to do it. http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...l=1#post468600

Hi Kevdebbi
thank you so much i think i have the tools required so i might look into doing it myself before the rust spreads else where i was even thinking of taking it out and getting a panel beater to repair it for me might save a few $$$ that way

Hi
I may have been a member previously when I lived in Australia, but as I am now living in Canada my email has changed
My wife and I took a 2005 diesel 120 half way around Oz (Sydney, Wilpena Pound, the Centre, Darwin, the Gulf, Cooktown, back down the coast to Sydney) in 2005 towing a Trak Shak camper trailer. We took it easy and explored thoroughly along the route - 18,000 kms in 102 days.
We moved to Canada in 2007 and have retired there.
We plan on coming back in March 2015 for 3 - 4 months to do Sydney - Melb. - Adel.- Perth - Darwin. We will be staying with friends and 'credit card camping', i.e. staying in cheap but OK accommodation along the way. We don't want to tow a trailer this time or camp if we don't want to.
I am looking to buy a good used Prado, hopefully one set up for long distance travel with a few toys (12v fridge, radio, bull bar, etc.)
I will be more active as the time approaches.
Cheers

Took a Prado half way around Australia in 2005
Moved to Canada in 2007
Coming back to Oz in 2015 to do the other half
Looking to buy a good used Prado and some gear
Hints on Sydney - Melb. - Adel. - Perth - Darwin with cheap accommodation appreciated
OOOPS... Sorry guys have been posting for a little while and have only just seen this thread and thought I'd better introduce myself properly.
Hi my names Gary and I'm a Prado Pointaholic. I find myself jumping on the computer and checking all the posts like EVERY day and the missus is starting to wonder..... Is this normal???
Any way, I've been travelling this beautiful state of mine (WA) for the last 20 something years and live and breathe camping fishing and fourwheel driving. And this site suits me too a tee.
For the last 15 years I owned a 4.2 diesel GQ Nissan Patrol and before kids an old hilux well body with canopy. Now however, I own a 2013 V6 GXL Prado; the most refined, quiet, powerfull and capable 4wd I've ever driven.
I've spent the last year gleaning pearls of wisdom from old posts and asking the odd question to be able to deck out my rig with a minumum of fuss.
So a big thankyou to everyone out there and I'll see you on the tracks....
Maybe a GTG in WA on the Canning could be on the cards in the future?
Cheers Gaz[B]Cheers Gary[B]
