I just upgraded to OME shocks and they are great. Didn't go for the BP-51 though. Unless you are looking to spend a significant amount of time on rough and corrugated roads (maybe because that's your job or you are a tour operator or about to embark on a round-Australia trip on mostly dirt roads or you are an off-road racer), then it is overkill for most of us.

No issues and no regrets spending the extra $ for the adjustability and performance it offers. If you can afford it, go for it. I have done everything from beach work to crawling over rocks and the shocks performed well. Haven't manage to get shock fade yet on corrugated roads and I was pushing to see how far it would go.
Hi, I loved the BP 51's. Amazing on corrugations. I had some problems with my 150 series so I traded for a 76 series. Before the trade I removed the BP51s (still have them for sale if you are interested....they have done about 5k. regards crano
The fast heat dissipation is probably overkill for me as I don't race through bad corrugation. Actually, after I did around 300km normal washboard road at around 60 to 90km per hour near Gairdnar lake, I found one spotlight screw gone and some rattle sound from doors. I reckon an aftermarket suspension would be better? Saying this, the shock didn't seem too hot when I touched it.
The main reason I am looking at BP 51 is its after installation adjustability, although most of time I probably prefer a firm ride as I drive daily through Adelaide Hill and Southeastern Freeway. Don't know any other one with this features.
But the way, what's your suspension spec? Dont see you update your rig build up
No doubt About its performance and adjustability. Not sure about its quality and durability though, as it has more complex design than the Nitro. Considering the cost, I would like to keep it for at least 100000km before I sell it.

My boss prefers a new one, or a used one at my risk and expense

I have now had the BP-51 for 12 months and I can say they are amazing. I have had OME, tuff dog and a few others in 4 of my 4x4s over the years and this is by far the best. Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! worth the cash.
