    Merry christmas to every one,
    After owning a 98 hilux dual cab for abt 12 yrs lashed out last year and bought a prado 150 MY13 GXL
    Basically stock with usual factory ali bar and led light bar, my query is that the outside edge of the tyres has excessive wear and inside edge has 1000k's left on them, service centre tells me its due to body roll on a heavy vehicle which I understand, driving style etc.
    Is this common for Prados, am starting to look at getting a lift and suspension upgrade, if this is the case will this help the issue.

    Rotate tyres every 5000. Make sure your wheel alignment and cambers are right too.

      Yep though not 5k gets done every service at 10k, and yes will take it to a specialist soon for a proper job

        I don't think its especially common to Prados, and I have never had that sort of tire wear... In fact I'm basically doing very little and spending nothing on my stock tires as we will get new AT tires before we do another big outback trip next year, so I haven't done a rotation or an alignment in 30,000 km, and car drives perfectly and the tires aren't wearing as fast I thought they would. I do run them with around 40-42 psi . Something will be out with the alignment settings to get that wear I would guess, tow in, or camber or something...a good wheel alignment should fix the problem. A 40mm suspension lift (new aftermarket shocks and springs) will make things even better.

          Yep having good air pressure helps. If you tend to throw the car around a little 40-42 is good.

          Here is how mine look after about 40,000km inc lots of off road and round-a-bouts. -

              Excessive tyre wear

              Mine has 100k on the clock but not had any outside tyre wear and no wheel alignment has been done .
