  • How to pull out a switch blank and add TPMS?

I've ordered a CAREUD U912 TPMS for Toyota. I consider this an essential bit of kit by the way. Next job is to install it. Has anyone else done this, or something like it? How do you pull the blank out? How do you thread the cable through to a power source? Any tips? Thanks!!

ALso eying off ARB Summit Steel Bull Bar, and need some comfortable seat covers. ANy advice on these too?

I too was eying off the Summit for my 2016 GXL. Went with the Deluxe because the light covering was also important for me (having an actual risk of roo-strike). With the money I save, I got an ARB tow-point installed on the LHS for the same price as the Summit (you need to have these installed when the bar goes on, else it's got to come off again and be re-installed to fit it). I don't get how you pay more for the Summit bar but lose the headlight protection? If you do go the summit with headlight protection, the difference between summit and deluxe is minimal (slightly thicker tubing that's not needed and flanges on the uprights).

Comfortable seat covers - I think I'm the only one who likes proper sheepskin covers out here. But they cost almost the same as a full 7-seat premium leather fit-out from Doyles Interiors (they're everywhere) for $2500 complete. So I got the leather, and succumbed to the heated seat offer for $500 also (filled out two more blank switches in the process which was great).

Feel like you're getting the Summit confused with the Sahara. The Summit offers just as much (if not more!) headlight protection due to the thicker steel tubing.

I'l be going with a Summit bar once they become available, probably arriving around Feb next year. They're all set-up to take a Warn Zeon series winch, however the usual suspects should fit as far as I know. I visited ARB a little while ago and they were still fitting up the test vehicle with the matching Summit rail's and steps/sliders, but they'll be added as soon as they're available.

Re: seat covers, WetSeat make some fairly durable gear with heaps of customization options, but it really depends on what you want to sit on. Did you option your GXL with leather?

Ahhh... So I did! For some reason I thought the lighting loops were optional... I remember now. And yes, was told the sahara had thicker tubing and the uprights were slightly smoothed off... But I recall they had a Prado one in the shop? Or perhaps that was a demo...

Back to the OP - I would certainly not be unhappy with the Alloy - which I was first choosing because it was lighter and didn't want it affecting the suspension as much. As it happened, I saved $1200 and put that towards an OME upgrade so it was a no brainer for me.

If you can, wait around for a 4Wd show to do a deal. I got the ARB Deluxe, pair of CREE IPF lights, ARB Recovery point and OME suspension lift for $4100. Having said that - I had already negotiated to $4250 without the show...

Hi mate I'm liking the tidy installed look of the CareUD.
I am wondering though if you can set the low pressure limit, as the info I've found has it factory set to 2.2bar (32 PSI), but this will mean they are constantly alarming offroad once tyres are let down a little.
How have you gone with it so far?
            Cheers
