    Engine running rough after oil and spark plug change

    Hi can anyone offer any suggestions? 120 series Petrol Grande.

    I have just changed the oil and new spark plugs. Have done it before on other vehicles but first time on my prado. When I start the car idle is very rough and it fluctuates between 400 RPM and 900 and there is a very strong air pressure sound coming from around the throttle body/ manifold. I have checked that all the plugs are tight and have checked the oil qty level all good.

    Not being familiar with petrol prados but did you put the ignition leads in the right order?

      After checking leads, did you check the plug gap.
      Had a low rev prob with too large of a gap once.

        What was the issue? I'm doing my 120 plugs now and would like any tips.

          Check your gaps, make sure all leads/plugs back in right spot/ No air lines/vacuum etc left off. Its not rocket science so should be relatively easy.

            Ha ha, you've obviously not done 120 plugs before. There's so much shit you have to disconnect. No not rocket science, but easy to forget something for sure.

              Done at least 6 sets on 120/90/150 before . Never had an issue.
