Hi
Just want to say what an amazing forum.
Yesterday I joined the Prado family with a 2005, TZ, Jap import.
Before the purchase I used it sort; fuel consumption and reliability
Already I have used it to sort out; Type Pressures, Rear windows not working, what is the 2 strt button for and if I have ODB2 or something else.
I am struggling to find answers to; my Cruise control will not set about 115K - is this correct or does it need adjustment? And what replacement Stereo works and with the factory fitted reversing Camera and Air Conditioning? Any pointers to articles much appreciated
As a bit of history
1988/89. I had spent 2 years pulling to pieces and putting back together series 3 and 110 landrovers. I went to the car show at Auckland show ground and saw my first landcruiser in that mustard yellow.
I fell in love. Landrovers had become more refined. That first landcruiser looked like it had been beaten out of a block of manliness, barbed wire and permanence.
I still remember Crumpy in what I think was the first hilux add saying "there is on other way in here" as the landcruiser came into shot.
As Tim Allen would say. "Grunt grunt grunt grunt"
so after 25 years, I have arrived!
