I would be ecstatic if you put your hand up Mr AJ. I do recall you did so last year but those Queenslander ruffians stole the show.

I beleive Iantz wants to assist you and sapradogxl wants to organise sponsors.

        Sandgropers

I know that there are several Qlders that would love to do a GTG in your state, me included. If you need any info on how we did ours please don't hesitate to ask. Personally I would like to see the south east corner of SA and possibly the "desert" on the SA/Vic border, but anywhere is good as the company at these is worth the trip alone.

See ya on the tracks, Richo.

PS: Did you pass on the sticker to MLC?

I'm all for SA or VIC, but i've been in Vic for 6 years now and still haven't made it to the high country so I wouldn't be much help.......Whatever the final choice can we make sure we pick camping area's without bbq's?

Right. Well I would be willing to assist. I've thought about it a bit and considered a bit of a tag along like this year. A few days at beachport to start, then a few days up through border track and Murray sunset, and cap it off with 2 full days in the flinders at Bendleby maybe. Just some thoughts though...

MLC, always keen to come along, as long as someone else organises it.... From what I hear, you will be too busy renovating your house to even think about attending anythign that went for more than a few hours.
As for sponsorship, let me see what I can do

Good onya Ian, I said last year I was willing to be involved and am also willing to be part of the organising group this year if it ends up in SA.

Interestingly Ian I was thinking almost exactly the same as you, only the other way round, start at Bendlby or somewhere such as that and end up at Beachport. The logistics of travelling that far with a large group might make it interesting though. Just for comparisons sake, I have a large map of Australia behind me with pins placed in it for everywhere Trish and I have spent a night together. The 3 Queensland camps would fit in the confines of Sunset NP, so that plan would involve a lot more travel.

So who else in SA is willing to help? or any other state for that matter.

                            Cheers Andrew

It certainly would entail a bit more travel, but hey, that's what a tag along is about. I thought that an 8 day GTG would give two days at each main location, with a half day travel to location 2 and same for location 3. I thought by finishing in the flinders, those who want to go on to do the Simpson / Eyre can do so on their own.

I will volunteer Dave, Rob and Matt to be on the committee. They basically have no choice anyway.......
