    Fender Mirrors

    Does anyone have any idea if Toyota does actually have these fender mirrors for the Prado or are they just an accessory by some other accessory manufacturer.
    Check the left front side of Prado in Picture to see what I meant. If anybody has these fitted Can I know the source and How they got it fitted.

    These are a Japanese domestic fit out item. Not sure if they are a legal requirement over there or just a popular accessory but it seems all grey import(second hand import) 4wds have them.

    It's used for parking (so you can see the gutter/curb and front tyre)

    Not fitted to Australian delivered vehicles (of any make) and as far as I know, not an accessory you can even get here.

        The fender mirrors are very popular in Malaysia and Thailand.

        They are actually very useful for parking as they give you two views, side and front. But once I installed a ARB bullbar to my Hilux, the front side view was useless as the ARB bullbar was much wider than the standard bumper. The side view still works though.

        It's very practical in daily use.

        There are specific part numbers for the original ones from Toyota, for Hilux KUN series, Prado 95 or 120 series, Land Cruiser 100 series, Land Cruiser 200 series etc.

          I have got one original toyota fender mirrors. The mirror is double sided so you can see the side and the front of the car. It is in metallic white in color. Pm me if you interested. Got the chrome cover for it is well.

            Old thread i know but just asking, is there a template where you can measure where to drill and mount the fender mirror?
