  • Can I change the front Swaybar Bushes myself, or go to a Suspension Place?

    Hello All,
Can I change the front Swaybar Bushes myself, or should I go to a Suspension Place? Does the Swaybar have alot of load on it or can I slip the new Bushes up underneath with the help of a small lever (crowbar ect) and get away with it?Click image for larger version

Should have looked before i posted. I'm learning!

Did mine the other day as also noticed they were stuffed.

They are fairly easy to do, just get the right size as there are 3 variants - a suspension shop can measure the bar for you or once you pull the old ones off they are written on the side.

The passenger side is harder as the bolt head is in a slightly akward spot to get leverage on. Jack the car up and remove the front wheels if your doing the ends of the sway bar too.

No fancy tools needed, 12mm socket to remove the bolt and nut from the sway bar saddle, then slide old bush off and new one on (if nolathane bush, use the supplied grease). Repeat on other side. Oh, and dont jack one side up at a time as this loads the sway bar and you wont get the bush off. [/B][/U][/I]
