  • Air Bag recommendations?

So I have a 97 V6 Prado, its fitted with an OME 2inch lift that's probably been on there for 5 years or more, the ride is very soft.
when loaded up with camping gear or towing a trailer the rear suspension tends to sag. The Prado has a compressor for the rear locker, so I was thinking Air Bags would be an easy option to help with the suspension issues.
Can anyone recommend a reliable Air Bag to use?

    Thanks, Mat.
Hilux for work, Prado for play.

I presume you are talking helper airbags to go inside the coils and not a full replacement airbag! Polyair not only make a good product they are also a forum sponsor. I've had my polyair's for around 4 years and they have been perfect.

    Cheers Andrew

Have a look at Firestone's as well. You can get them delivered to your door from the states for half the price you pay here and its a simple couple of hour job to fit. There are posts on here re fitting etc.

I've had two sets of Polyairs in my old 90. Great to have but split two and constant leaks over a long period. At least they aren't expensive.
I'd look at the Firestones too - they have a better connector rather than a clamp. Haven't tried them myself though.
          Cheers, Dave

The old Polyair bags were good, now they are made offshore and the quality has dropped off.
I went for the firestone ones, cost about the same, and are better quality.

Just make sure you secure the hoses well and guard em from chaffing.
            Cheers
