I bought a Waterwatch filter and mountng kit and found that the bracket does not fit as it fouls on the oem filter . I wondered when I bought it as the bracket is the same for the 120 and the 150 . I had to drill new holes for the filter mounting to the bracket and had to weld an extra piece to the LHS as there still wasn't enough clearance .
With the filter now mounted and fuel lines connected up it was time to prime the fuel . After lots of pumps on the primer there still wasn't any fuel in the bowl of the Waterwatch . Luckily I was at my mate's place and he's a mechanic so he showed me a little trick . You take the fuel cap off and put an air line in and jam a rag in to seal it off then the fuel gets pushed through .
Wiring the alarm in was a bit of a problem looking for a switched ignition wire . PP came to the rescue saying to use the pink wire at the mirror control switch . PP also had instructions to remove the various dash panels to get to the switches . You get an LED bezel and a buzzer for the alarm . I tied the alarm up under the dash after soldering on some extra wires then had to glue the LED into a switch blank as you can't get inside the blank to get to the lock nut .
I gingely pressed the starter button and was relieved to hear the Waterwatch alarm sound for 5 secs then stop as it's supposed to . Hopefully the alarm won't sound when out on the tracks but at least I'll know that I have an issue .
Cheers Ross
