Nope not if you don't want to. Might pay you but to have a look at some wreckers may pick one up for next to nothing Terry. I think the factory loom is to cater for a bit extra. I have it on mine but was on there when I bought it, would I go and pay the $$$ for one to tow a simple box trailer would depend on price but probably not. .....Cheers SteveFace lift 150 Prado V6 auto. I may be wrong wooley but I think the idea of the extra flasher can in the drivers side rear quarter (like mine has and any other factory loom) is to cater for the extra blinker lights. Im sure some one will correct me if Im wrong but the more blinker lights say down the side of a van the extra flasher can helps keep the blinkers flashing correctly. Sure this is what I have heard but maybe all bullshit to. Either way mine was on my vehicle and in saying that, seems to be people who have the genuine loom have more issues with dust due to the shitty seal/so called grommet Toyota supplied with the loom anyway.........Cheers SteveFace lift 150 Prado V6 auto. In regards to the grommett, if you dont install it properly it wont seal the dust.
There are other areas at the rear of the 120 that let 10 times more dust in than that grommett.
I can give a link to show dust ingress if yas like.
I cant remember the price being $150 and if it was I dont think I would have bought it. Are you sure that price is right?
You have got me tempted to go thru my old receipts now!
Ring around a few toyo dealers terry cos $150 does sound over the top.
Actually here is that thread about dust entry http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...ght=dust+entryLast edited by mackayvx; 23-03-2013, 09:54 PM.HERS - KZJ120, BILSTIEN / KINGS, AMTS GEAR, RHINO GEAR, OUTBACK DRAWERS ETC ETC ETC
