  • LED Bar Fitted to an ARB Deluxe Bar - Pics wanted

I am wanting to know how I can fit (permanently) an LED light bar to the top of my ARB deluxe bar. It will probably be a Rigid Industries bar as big as I can get to fix.

The alternative is to fix it to the front of my Rhino Rack which while higher means it comes off when the racks off.....

mlc - trying to see the light.

I think this would be the go. I don't think it's an ARB bar, but rigid do tube mounts for their light bars that would suit.

They look like a nice clamp, not sure how they would go on the ARB bar though, the tube on the ARB bar is 48.3mm od AND A 51mm clamp is the closest they have, might br ok with an extran wrap of thin rubber.

            Cheers Andrew

Not forgetting of course that lights need to be mounted in pairs - better fit 2 lightbars.

Jasen, that's the least of my worries, the 3 IPF's will see any eager cop pulling me over.

I NEED the light bar to compensate lol.

Found this WA information sheet regarding front lamps

                        http://www.transport.wa.gov.au/media..._VS_IB_123.pdf

Refer to point 3 - "driving lights higher than drivers eye level is not recommended" or "there is no height restriction with regard to mounting position"

I'll let you make your own interpretation of this??

Also says to be 2 or 4 lights

Often see 4WD in WA with spotties on top of their bullbars, recon a flat LED bar located their would be less obtrusive

Saw a kitted out hilux across the road at work with one on top of bar - looked OK try and get photo next week

MLC I've been thinking about a LED Bar option for my Sahara bar also. One thought was to utilize the slots in the front of the bar. It would be nice to fill in this entire area but unfortunately the winch brackets impede this area from doing this. The slot is just 40mm x 220mm, so a single row led bar would be required. Rigid Industries make a 38mm high bar of varying lengths with the 6" bar being the only one that would fit. They make a 9 led Driving light bar which pumps out 3060 lumen, so one each side would be nice.

A dodgy mock up would look something like this....

Seems the QLD has issued the attached in Sep12 - advising to fit a dividing cover in the middle of bar to simulate the appearance of 2 lights. And having a 12 month moratorium until active enforcement.....

Since this thread started - been noticing land cruisers with a big LED bar mounted flush into the bullbars at the front of them in WA
