Anyone else had this? Get in, step on clutch, green light, press button, light starts flashing  Tried the cycle a few times, same pattern.
The car is very low on fuel, indicating empty, fuel light on & 6km left on range, but that should not cause a problem since there's still 20 - 30l in the tank at that point. But given that that was the only thing I could think of I rolled it onto a flatter bit of ground and it fired up.
Questions are:
1. can anyone verify with any certainty that this was some kind of overly matriarchal fuel monitoring reaction, and
2. has anyone tried to jump the car directly to its starter solenoid when it is chucking this kind of hissy fit?
I had been contemplating a clutch switch override for hill starts but if Q2 is a possibility then a hot start relay would be a more versatile solution.
Anyone..? Anyone...?
