Need to replace Shocks and Struts with oem shocks.
Which do you prefer for a 1998 Prado 95 series, Tokico or KYB?
Neither......
Go for good after market shocks and springs like EFS, Old Man Emu, they spend alot more on R&D than what Toyota ever did, the OEM ones are a compromise, where as a good quality after market set are purpose built for our conditions. One tip for newbees is do not mix and match suspension products, always buy as a complete set, (ie, same brand shocks and springs), the benifits will show on the road as well as on the tracks.
97 VX Grande, with front & rear air lockers, ARB Sahara winch bar with tigers 11 winch, 2" EFS lift, 265/75/16 Achilles Desert hawk XMT, and more.
Bitumen - A blatant waste of taxpayers money!
G'day. I've never heard of tokico but I have KYB scorched 4s and I reckon they're good. Just make sure you get the scorched 4s not the budget KYB shocks.
Cheers, Ben.

Hi Guys. Tokico are owned by KYB & the Kayaba group.
The Tokico brand is not marketed out here, as the KYB name was already well established.
Tokico would be one of the largest OEM suppliers to the Japanese manufacturers.
