  • Radio Amplifier Wiring

Hi all, I have bought an 03 120 series TD ex mine vehicle from the auctions and some nice person has helped themself to the factory stereo, in doing so they have cut the short wiring loom, my question is, I realise that there is an antenna amp module that is meant to be in there somewhere, I have got the wiring diagram and worked all that out but I am having trouble getting a good signal due to the antenna amp not being there, is the amp part of the radio or is it seperate, as I have 3 foam covered aerial connections, 1 large aerial plug, 1 small aerial plug and 1 wire with a white electrical plug on it. I presume the aerial plugs into the antenna amp as does the black wire with the white plug to power it, is this correct, if so I will call the wreckers and chase up a new short loom and antenna amp..

    cheers Brett

Not sure about the wiring, but the amp is mounted inside the rear body work near
the window with the antenna in it so should still be there you just need to power it.

    Cheers

You could just do what i did and install a new external [bullbar mounted ] aerial and get better reception as well.
Here is an ebay link although i got it cheaper thru supercheap
