  • Kill Switch placement

Hi, This is my first post here. After buying a Black V6 GXL brand new in 2008 and selling it in May this year, I realised I made a mistake and had to have another one. So I just purchased a late 2007 V6 GXL in Silver, low k's etc and I intend to give it the full treatment of goodies this time. It came with a 2 inch suspension lift, a UHF radio and Bridgestone Desert Dueller tyres. Ive had some minor panel damage repaired that was just cosmetic but would have annoyed me for ever. Just fitted a set of 5 BFG KM2 Mud Terrains, 265 70 17's. Bought an Evil bay winch that actually looks pretty good!!! Dual battery setup with a 120ah thumper is ready to go in. Ordered a colour coded ARB Deluxe winch bar, Front and rear Air lockers and just gathered up all the steel required to knock up a set of rock slide type side steps. Waeco slide and drawer system going in the back. She's going to stand out in the crowd but sometimes that's a bad thing.
My question is - has anyone found which wire is between the ECU and the Fuel injection / fuel pump circuit and can be switched without any issues as I would like to use this area to add a little security.

Reason being I had a V6 Holden powered Surf a long time ago and removed a dodgy aftermarket alarm system. I interrupted the fuel injection wiring somehow and trying to get it going was the biggest nightmare I have ever had with anything ever. After I spent around 60 hours tearing out my hair, I exhausted 2 mobile auto electricians who gave up also!!! Google eventually helped me with an expert on a Torana forum steering me right! Amazing!!! It most certainly wasnt going to be knocked off in 30 seconds.
I have heard thieves use a plug in ECU or BCM??? that will bypass the Prado key security etc but I think going between the Engine management system and the Injector circuit will certainly slow em down a bit. I have a wiring diagram that has given me a few ideas but i'm not certain and I dont want to be cutting and rejoining wires if it wasnt the right one.
My apologies for such an essay. Any advice welcomed. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply butane. Yeah probably wouldnt have another black 4x4. Silver this time around, much more forgiving. I did think about who might read this but an expert wont quickly find where i splice into the harness and finding the switch will be tricky too. We all know if someone really wants it, its gone but doesnt hurt to make it difficult for them. Ive got plenty of insurance on it too but it would be hard to replace when its all done.
