Yep I've got one in my 90 series and it boosts the alternator out put by .8V. Doesn't sound like much but it makes a noticeable difference to how quickly the batteries charge. I reckon they are well worth the money. Have had mine for 18 months and no problems.
Cheers, Ben.
As D4D has said previously in another thread you started do a search for your question before you start a new thread. You can bet its been answered before. Yes I use one, its supplied by LeighW if you search for his name PM him he will sort you out.

Yep.....I have a Prado just like you Bugger Bali, get out and see Australia before we sell it all to China My Rig BuildTowing Camprite TL8s (if ya wanna look PM me)
It reduces your charging times, even better when running AGM's. I made mine, If you are good with a soldering iron you can make your own for less than $5.
The device can be used on any make of vehicle that requires a boost in voltage as long as you
either have a fuse in the alternator sense lead (only used for this purpose and not shared with
other devices) or can fit one. On many vehicles without a fuse the alternator sensing wire runs
directly to the positive battery terminal and will be a small wire either bolted to terminal or crimped
in with the stater and power cable. In these vehicles it is a simple proceedure to install a fuse holder.
I'm also looking at making a unit for use with shared circuits, if there is enough demand but this unit would
differ in that it would consist of a fuse type plug connected to a small module containing a higher power rating
diode/fuse combo for use with specific vehicles.
I'm also looking at the possibility of a new booster, this unit will be a polarised unit (mini blade only) but would incorporate a self resetting fuse so that unit won't need to be replaced in the event of a fault developing in the charging
circuit.
This will be several months away though if at all though.
