Good day,
Ever since my outside temp sensor stopped working, showing either two horizontal dashes instead on number or showing -30 when it is +45 outside, the AC has been acting funny.
Went to the Toyota parts department yesterday, and the parts guy was clueless and wanted me to have the car inspected before he can locate the part, so after trying to 'fish' around for a possible sensor, he came up with basically nothing.
A few questions:
1- Does anyone have a diagram or photos showing exactly where this sensor is in the engine compartment?
2- Is it an issue of cleaning it or does it have to be replaced?
3- Does this sensor have a direct impact on how the automatic AC regulates the temp in the car? From my experience, it does, because the AC cooled differently based on what the outside temperature reading is before I had this problem.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
