  • Headlight daytime leds

Hi, just to be different and to keep up with auto lighting technology i fitted these leds. They are self adhesive and sit between the headlight and protector so they cannot be easily stolen or tampered with. They can be cut to desired length and easily installed. Purchased from autobarn for $120 pair. I must admit they certainly get some looks! cheers.

    I like it Fish-freak.
This is a picture of my own effort:

I just tapped into the bull bar paking light wire and made an earth connection to the body.

    21 LED's per side @ $10 a side.
Do gets some good comments from other people, but more importantly increases the daytime visibility of the vehicle.
    Cheers

Looks the goods! I found out when buying LEDS the brighter you want the more you pay. There are several types of LEDS apparently. Like the factory ones on some HSV and audi, they are super bright.

Be careful of Mr Plod, unless they're wired to come on with the engine, off with the parker/headlights and dim when the indicator is on, they're illegal.

I have done a quick search and can't find any reference to the requirement for the DRL to dim when the indicator is on.

Can you please point to the rule or ADR.

          Thanks,

My Clubbie DRLs don't dim. Either on or off (with main lights, still on with parkers)

Dunno haven't looked but I know this is the rule in EU where DRL are mandatory.

My son says that they look "gay". I'm not sure if he was refering to gen Y gay or baby boomer gay. I think I'll leave them to the Audi owners.

                      Daylight Running Lights

Installed some LED strips on the front as daylight running lights, sure I'd seen someone do it in a thread before but cannot find it anywhere

Anyway just though I'd post some pics, get some thoughts etc
