Thought people maybe interested in how I installed my EGT gauge so here's a couple of pic's.
Head unit
Thermocouple
The thermocouple is held in place with what is best described as a hose clamp. I went with this style as I didn't want the expense or inconvenience of having the exhaust modified to except a screw in thermocouple. Besides when finances permit I intend to replace the exhaust with a new full system that should come with the boss already welded in.
The head unit fits nicely in the blank (after modification) next to the Hi/Low switch in front of the shifter.
You need accessory, power to power unit. This was easy in my case, as when I installed my dual battery system I ran extra power wires for accessories like this.
As yet no report as to what temps it runs at. I'm towing the camper up to Singleton for the Tuff Trucks next week end so will know more then.
The gauge and thermocouple cost me $107 delivered off Flea Bay (US seller). My dads been running the same unit in this 200 for 18 months now with no problems so I'm confident with the unit and thermocouple fitting.
Overall an easy installation for the home mechanic, that wants to know the ever important exhaust gas temperature.
