  • More Power Window Problems

I have a problem with my passenger side power window and was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same issue. When clicked into the 'automatic up' postion, the passenger side window regardless of whether it is operated from the drivers side or passenger side switch will go all the way up and then come half way down and stop. If the window is not clicked into the automatic up condition the window will go up correctly. Anyone experienced anything like this before?

Sounds like when you hit auto up, it goes up and then detects that there is something in the way and then comes down again. Have you checked if there is anything in the tracks?

Nothing stood out as blocking the tracks and the window does go up correctly when not in auto mode. Will have a closer look tonight. Would be great if it was that easy!

Maybe try a reset by disconnecting the battery and going round to all the windows and open & close them.

Anyone find a solution for this? Mine does this occasionally.
          Cheers

Yeah I had the same problem with my passenger window I could operate it on the drivers side but now passenger side after taken it back to hinterland Toyota nerang and under warranty they had to order the parts from Japan, all good all fix but after a few weeks later the rear drivers side wouldn't work. So back again to Toyota and cause it was out of warranty by 3 days they wouldn't replace it. Grrrrr so I've just read this post today and thanks guys it works. So all u gold coasters stay away from nerang Toyota.
