    Hi all this is my first post. Anyway i just purchased my first 4wd ,ive always had V8s ,its a 2003 3litre grande with 88000klm on it . It is as it came from the factory except the owner before me fitted a rapid diesel engine chip what im am wondering is has anyone seen what figures a standard 3litre pre d4d puts out at the wheels the reason i ask is the person i brought it off gave me the dyno sheet of when the chip was fitted Max 69.3kw at wheels if any one is willing to share there figures will be appreciated as this will give me a idea if the chip they have fitted has made a big diffrence or not it seems to go pretty good and i have driven a few diesels cheers.

    What about the front wheels output? How do you dyno the rear only on a Prado?

      Good question 120d4d with the prado being a all wheel drive i mean at the wheels i guess im used to owning and talking about rear wheel drive cars ive fixed my previous post up thanks for bringing it to my attention.

        hey hooked up here is a snipit from joeys rig build up for a comparison hes got 3 inch exhaust, running 14.7 psi boost and DP chip,
        well today i took the rig down to Lee Holmans special vehichle service for a run on the dyno..and a tweak or 2..

        i was amazed at the difference from standard....

        kw at the wheels...88kw...(thats with the stt's).....

        torque ...520 N.M

        motive force.....4977.5 N

        running at 14.7 p.s.i

        my rig standard is only 97kw at the fly wheel.....and torque is 370 .n.m

        so as the stats say a massive increase in power.....
        and it feels better 2..

        we adjusted the chip and the fuel to air mix is better...

        well i am happy as...
        had an 03 gx 120 with some gear now got a 2013 bt 50 GT auto some ARB gear.

          Hi samo thanks for the link, considering mine only has a rapid chip the kw ive got at the wheels seems ok,from what i have researched by adding a 3 inch exhaust you can expect roughly 10 kw at the wheels more i stand to be corrected on this though,I see joey is running 14.7psi boost it would be interesting to no what they run standard,samo i see your from newcastle small world hey im near kurri kurri,dont hold that against me ha ha.

            kurri hey, show us ya scar lol, im in fletcher, and 14.7 psi is just below were the computer says its to much and cuts the fuel i think, if you are going to do an exhaust do yourself a favour and do the dump pipe at the same time, i did mine a while ago and it make a good difference in power and drivability. cheers samo

              Ha Ha samo im from heddon greta actually,as soon as i can save up enough coin im going to fit taipan or beaudesert 3inch full system as they both seem to have good feedback hopefully that will give it even more go,Samo do you no anywere around our area that specilisers in tuning diesels meaning, chips exhaust ect on dyno ,whats peoples thoughts will i have to get it retuned on the dyno after fitting the exhaust or should it be alright since it got tuned when the rapid chip was fitted thanks in advance.

                2003 turbo diesel is not d4d. it's the 1kz engine not 1kd
