  • Honoring Cap servicing pricing.

Hi Guys, I'm new to the forum (and a recent owner of a D4d) and not sure if cap servicing has been previously discussed. I was informed just yesterday that Toyota would not honor the cap servicing pricing if you're 14 days past the scheduled servicing interval. Can anyone confirm this piece of information?

    Kel.

I believe that is true however you can mention to the Service Manager if he wants your return business he might want to work something out.

I do so many kms that my services are due well before the actual service time frame has expired (I am just about to hit 50,000km and the car is three days away from being 12 months old); I have done 4 capped price services so far, (and soon to be the fifth), so I'm sorry I can't comment about what happens if you are 14 days over the service interval, but what I do know is that each time I have needed to book a service I have had to wait between 5 and 10 days to book it in. I wonder how many km they will permit you to go over before the capped price servicing no longer applies?

IT appears that you may have been incorrectly informed, as a search of the Toyota website indicates that your service advantage offer is applicable within 90 das of the due date (or within 5,000km) whichever occurs first, (except for the final capped price service)

You might have some extended warranty deal that could possibly vary this requirement, but the conditions of the servicing should be available to you. Here is a copy of part of the Toyota service advantage section from their website. I can't see a 14 day limit any where on the website.

          5. Claim periods for Toyota Service Advantage.

For Camry, Hybrid Camry and Aurion owners, each scheduled service can be claimed within 135 days of the due date or within 90 days of the due date for all other Toyota models(except the last service*).

In distance terms, a scheduled service can be claimed 7,500km either side of the specified interval for Camry and Aurion (except the last service*) or 5,000km for all other vehicles(except the last service*). Please note that the claim period is determined based upon either days or kilometres, whichever occurs first.

          * The final claim for all vehicles must be within 3 months or 5,000km of the required schedule timing (maximum of 39 months or 65,000km since original Warranty registration date).

it's appears to be within 90 days or 5,000km of the service due date (not 14 days), see here http://www.toyota.com.au/owners/serv...advantage/faqs

                Within 5000km?! Wow!

I'll never have to worry about time limits, I do too many km, like Brogers.

I did 11,500km in the first couple of months and rang to see how many km over I could go and they were fine with the 10,000km being 1500km overdue, they told me I could go up to 5000km over as mentioned above.

I thought the next scheduled service would be 20,000 or 6 months from when I got the 10,000km service done but it is due at 20,000 or 12 months after I got the vehicle. Works for me as I won't do 10,000 in the next 6 months and should be hitting the 20,000 total at about the 12 month mark.
