  • Air Filter

    Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know what K&N air filter part number will fit the 150?

    Cheers.

I had a look the other day and couldn't find a K&N to suit, I couldn't seem to find any after market brands at all to fit.

    regards Adam

I've heard that the oil from the filters dirty the sensors on the intact manifold and create all sorts of drama. That is if they are over oiled of course.

I have used K&N filters before, honestly have not noticed any increase in performance
and find it hard to tell when they are dirty or clean after they have been on the car
for awhile. Also the recharge kits are not cheap and its a dirty messy job to recharge them,
you have to wonder if there worth the effort.

        Cheers

When I think about it this can't be true because all off road vehicles use oiled filters because they offer better protection. All dirt bikes and ATV's do so do speedway cars.

I thought that's because they're usually high flow type filters.

Higher flow means more crap getting through though?

We did outback SA with a car with a K&N oil filter and by the time we got Pt Augusta it was straight to the dealer for a standard filter as he got sick of cleaning when it got clogged and the power dropped.

Hi Yes that K&N filter from Western is for the 150 diesel took awhile to find one .I had no problems with my prior vehicle using the K&N .You just have to be aware when you drive dirt or sand you will need to clean more regular .

Hi Wingman ,Mate sorry about the delay in getting back to you .To be honest I really cant say .I like the once only cost of getting one and not having to replace the OE one every time you go off road .As I say you have to be aware you will need to clean more often if you do beach and or outback tracks .I also like to know my engine is breathing easier .and by that there should be an improvement but unless you test before and after you are only guessing .Cheers Foxy
