  • Headlight globes 100/130W halogen - has any one fitted these?

    Hey all,

Came across these globes for sale on EBay, just wondering if anyone has ventured into fitting these higher watts of headlight globe to their Prado? In the past with other vehicles I have been advised against it, due to vehicle manufacturer recommending a lower watt globe and there for the heat of a higher watt globe could cause damage.
    Any experience comments? Thanks

I upped the bulbs in my old 80 series to 90/110w - but the lights were glass.

I've always been advised not to up the wattage on lights that use plastic, apparently it's better to use the bulbs that have the same wattage but spruik more light output (used to be called '+20s' or something I think....)

I had those on a road car and was forever getting flashed by oncoming cars even though the lights were adjusted. Nice light, shame about me retinas.
