I'd like to get feedback from anyone that has one of these units. Please I'm not into a religious discussion about different charging methods as I can see some have gotten heated.
I was contemplating using one of these instead of the REDARC isolator (which I currently have). After just replacing a 2nd battery that was just 15 months old, I'd like to get a little more life out of the "dualie".
I note they operate ok to 55c but then current output decreases up to 80c. They say you can mount them under the bonnet, I am still a little suspect unless you build some soft of heat shield ? I could mount it near the LH wheel arch and have an aluminium shield bent up and then get some thermal material that they use under bonnets to shield it but it would still get friggin hot under there....
Any thoughts ?
