I have a dual battery set up with a strange issue that I can't solve.
The isolator constanty cuts in and out when driving.
If the car has been sitting for a while and I go for a short or long drive it works fine. Its only once I have been driving for sometime then stop for a short period and go again that the isolator starts cutting in and out. I've even had the same issue with the battery charger. I accidently bumped one of the clips of the battery terminals, when I put the clip back on the isolator started cutting in and out about every 20secs.
When this is happening I have tested the Voltage at the isolator and it is jumping between 13.5 and 12.5, so the islolator is just doing as it was designed to do, I just don't know why the voltage is jumping around. Everything seems to work fine until the battery(cranking)has been under a decent charge then stopped and started again.
Any help would be appreciated.
