View Full Version : 150 Series Rear Drawers & Cargo Barrier

ITEM: A set of rear drawers & Cargo barrier to suit 150 series prado

REASON FOR SELLING: Moving house and need to cull

PRICE AND PRICE CONDITIONS: $1100. Cost close to this for materials.

EXTRA INFO: I made these drawers myself for our Cape trip last year. They are made from 1.6mm gal plate. The drawers run on bearings (same set up as Outback/Black Widow). All covered inside and out with marine carpet. Bolts into the floor through existing rear seat mounts. The colour difference you can see in the photo is just from this angle. I glued the carpet on upside down, grain running wrong way. Look at the pics, tell a thousand words!!! No rattles in them either!!!
Cargo barrier is made as well. Heavier set up than you buy. 25x25mm box section frame. 50x25mm sectioned mesh, 2.5mm wire. This bolts to the back of the drawers and into the far rear grab hanles at the top.
If you like you can have the dividers I made for it as well. It is a pigion hole that runs above the fridge that a table can slide into leaving another shelf above. It holds two 20ltr water containers, one on each side sitting on the wheel arch. If interested I can send photos to explain better.
Like I said I have made all of this. The strength and durability I feel is as good as the bought ones. Quality over all is great, one or two thing I would change if I ever made another set. Not perfect but close IMHO!!!!!

LOCATION: Mackay QLD, will help organize frieght if needed

These are the only photos of the carge barrier sorry. If you like I can send some showing it in the car in the background of some photos.

PM me if you would like more photos.

Pardon my being picky but is it a 120 or a 150 ? I've had both cars and the 150 has the higher floor at the rear to accommodate the drop down 3rd row seats .
The pic doesn't show that or can you remove all the drop into the floor stuff ?

Hi Ross
Yes it is a 150. You can remove all the rear seats.

That'll be good if the 3rd row drop down seats can be removed as it'll give back that lost space . I'll have a look on the weekend .
