    Re: Tail lights not working

I had the same problem with my BJ40...

Disconnect the units one by one and see what happens. Sometimes its the bulb itself that gives probs when it is heated and you cannot see that...

But I had a problem in the wiring of my towbar (mud, snow and water are not the best friends of electrical parts)...

I do have a 7 pin trailer wired. Do you think some thing in thete might be making it short.

Mine is also a 7-pin and the back wasn't sealed enough, so al the dirt and water could reach the connectors and wires. After some months/years they broke and made contact with the other wires ... (even when there was no trailer hooked on). So I suggested that you also take a look inside those wires. In my 120 there is a groundwire and one for the left and one for the right rearlights. It's seperated circuit from the headlights so it could cause a problem of a shortcircuit of you tail lights.

I'm pleased to hear that your problem is solved
I suppose it was also a problem with towbarconnectors ?

I know im late with this but what i did in the previous was that i upgrade the tail lights into halogens which is guess has the quality and durability. I also seen folks doing the same thing and they are happy with the results of their effort. Also have you all guys heard about the said way of preventing the bulb from being blown out. In some discussion, they have featured some.
