I have searched the site for this info & found it to a little confusing. It appears some people run all the way to the rear light, whilst others splice in at the stop light switch, which compared to some vehicles is really quite accessible.
The thing that I read that confused me was in regard to the cruise control, that if splicing at the switch it can have some effect on the cruise control.
QUOTE: "Please take note that you have to run a wire from the unit to the passenger rear brake light (because of the Cruise Control). They also tell you to connect it to the cold side of the connection, meaning dont connect to the wire running directly back to the front."
Surely it doesn't matter which end of a wire that you splice in to, or even the middle!
The wire I have tested that appears to be the correct one is green with a yellow stripe, is this correct?
