Howdy all,
Got a 2003 1KZ TD Prado with 160 000k's on it. Running nicely, timing belt has been done, servicing on schedule so no issues as yet (just hexed myself hey?! :evil: )
Anyway, you read things in magazines and half the time I am inclined to think it's just sponsors getting their marketing speal in. But I am all for spending a couple of hundred dollars on preventative maintainence instead of picking up the price of a massive tow or engine rebuild. So, a couple of questions for the collective here:
1/ How often, or would you even need to, consider getting the fuel pump and injectors serviced. (I try to run the Caltex Premium Diesel since it came available)
2/ Do glow plugs get brittle and risk breaking off and shagging the pistion/bore to hell? How long roughly should you be happy with one set before a change over is due?
3/ What are next weeks winning lotto numbers?
