Whilst working through my 200K service I'm up to coolant replacement and I've looked and googled but cannot find a second coolant drain on the engine block for my 1kz-te prado. I would give up and say there is only one but I'm constantly draining only 7 litres of coolant from the tap on the radiator and the block but the manual says I should be replacing 12.2 litres (which seems a lot).
To start with I found the radiator drain valve had snapped off so I had to hacksaw a cut across the plastic and undo it with a screw driver. Next I found this coolant drain below the oil cooler on the side of the engine block. I placed a bit of tube over the little spout to direct the stream better and then undid the nearby bolt to let it flow.
Took care to add some volume indicators on the container catching the fluid.
But now I don't want to put 7 litres (of expensive Toyota coolant) back if there is a third coolant drain I need to find. Any help would be much appreciated.
