    Re: 2" lift . 2 choices .

I looked at the Billies when i did my lift but was unhappy with their 20k or 1yr warranty which could be a major headache if you ever have trouble and you need them fixed/replaced the mates rates suff is ok for entry level 5yr warranty from memory but they use Dobson springs not my cuppa tea i guess  , they do a Lovell's kit for around the same price to which seem ok value aswell, but bare in mind that if you do have a failure you should go with an Australia wide brand as your more likely to get warranty work in your area so i would be inclined to look locally for an agent that do stock Billies/or what ever brand you go for just incase you do ever have any issues.

thanks for your reply man ,

anyone replaced brake lines , bushes , bump stop for their suspension upgrage/lift kit ?
also i wont be getting my bullbar for awhile so i wonder if i got medium or light springs could i put a spacer in there once i get it to level it out /harden it up ?

Not really necessary to replace anything unless you go over 2" the only thing i had adjusted was the rear drop links which were a few added washers so i could adjust the link down so it didnt stress the bushes as much under full flex

as for the front i went with the 45-75kg constant load in the front as i plan on some bar work soon i wouldnt bother with spacer's there will not be much difference if you stay with a reasonable spring for the rear to, i have a 15mm difference unladen but loaded up (gear and fuel) it sits near perfect

i did the lovells 2 inch lift medium springs . the idea is simple to change the springs n shocks but i had a hell of a time . took me about 10 hour to do one side by myself then went to a mates shed got the other side done under couple hours . good luck .

What was the main headache? I'm planning to do 50mm shock/spring kit too.
Are the $500 ebay shocks with king springs total duds?

                G'day BT,
Be cautious of the Fleabay kits, while the springs component, be it Kings, Dobinson, Lovells shouldn't be problem the shocks may turn and bite you not far down the track.
Generally you get what you pay for in this regard, don't expect outstanding performance.
Well known proven name shocks will be an investment over time here, especially if you like to get off the runway more often than not.
I have just received a Dobinson - Bilstein 40mm lift package along with Coilrite bags and front/rear spacers. Also replacing the Top Hat on the struts for my 95 series.
All up around the $1850 delivered. Was going to install myself but have decided to do some overtime and let a professional perform the install.
I sussed out all those kits on Fleabay, but like I said earlier best to spend once and get quality first time round...
Over the years I have used all different brands : Ultimate Springs Gabriel shocks, TJM springs Koni shocks, OME springs TJM Nitro Charger shocks, all good quality kits that got plenty of punishment and not one failure.
                Cheers Jim.

Yes been there done that Caught with shockers being stuffed after 6 months and the mounts shagged. Contacted who I bought them off and denied it was the shockers stating it was the way they were mounted. Use your local thats the best way to avoid repay
