Sorry if this question has been asked before - I searched and couldn't find anything, but perhaps my search terms were wrong.
One of my few peeves with the Prado is the way the drivers window controls work - specifically the way the inhibit switch stops both the driver and the passenger/rear from controlling their windows. On my Calais, the driver always has control and the inhibit switch only stops the passenger controls working.
The other day I wanted to put down the passenger side window down so I could talk to someone through it. While I had the windows enabled, the kids put theirs down in the back. Because the control on the doors takes priority, I couldn't put them back up without physically reaching back and pulling the kid's hand away from the control, while at the same time using my control. With 2 kids that was like herding cats. It would be much easier if the driver controls always worked, with the inhibit switch only disabling the passenger controls.
Anyone know if it is possible to rewire it so they work that way?
BTW it's an 03 GXL Petrol.
