  • Front Parkers not working

    Hi everyone
Have a small problem that hasnt really bother me until now.. My front parkers stopped working not long after i got my car back from the crash repairs after the little simpson episode.. I spent about an hour today trying to fault find and am stumped.... so now its giving me the sh!ts :?:
All the wires seem to be connected as far as i can see, however due to some smart person using loktite on the bash plate bolts, i am unable to get them off to look from below, nor am i able to unplug them cos i cant get my hand in there. I have had a look for a fuse and can see one for the rear lights, stop, fog, hi and low however there doesnt seem to be one for parkers?

any ideas or comments would be appreciated
    Cheers
    Jarrad

    Re: Front Parkers not working

Are you talking about the parkers in the ARB bar as mine never work due to the crap design.

No they dont work either, but i am not convinced that they ever did.. i know the lenses are full of bulldust!!
The actual parkers on the bottom of the headlights. I got 55w HID's and as i am a shift worker, would like to pull into my little street on the parkers so i dont wake all the neighbours up... Yes i know pathetic, but they have already had a go at me about them!

Hmm Do they know what you do for a job? hehehe..

Might be worth checking the plugs and stuff that are accessible easily. Take some voltage measurements etc. If you get stuck, pop past my office in Edwardstown (PM for details) and I can chuck a meter across some stuff to test it.

                Re: Front Parkers not working

Only the driver side one works for me. I had a look a while back and there are about 5 bolts that hold on the front coer bash plate/guard and then I would assume it would be relativerly easy access. I don't think you could do this on the older bars but could be mistaken. I had mine installed in 2009 and it is a deluxe winch bar.

                  Re: Front Parkers not working

Bit late to the party, but I was about to post the same question.

My park lights (front and back) have gone. The only thing I can think of is a blown fuse, problem is, I can not find the bloody fuse. There are fuses for everything else, just no park lights.
If any one knows which fuse it is, pray do tell (please, pretty please)

Not sure if there is a seperate fuse for tail lights and rear parkers but i thought there was a fuse for rear tail lights in the engine bay fuse box??

                      OK an update

For anyone looking for the fuse to the park lights.......Its the 10amp fuse under the dash marked Tail. It would appear that the park and tail lights are both run from the same fuse. problem fixed
(and if this does not work, then I have no idea)

Just for something a bit different, i changed the TAIL fuse that you are talking about as my parkers were blown, and for some reason, my tail lights were still working. After i changed that fuse the parkers started working also.... weird!

I finally managed to fix my problem. It was the parkers that are mounted to the ARB bar. As soon as i disconnected them, it stopped blowing fuses and parker globes in the headlights. I had a quick look and it appears that they are a sealed unit on the bull bar, so unplugged it is!

They aren't sealed, you have to dismantle the whole assembly, and then the lens and globe are accessed from the front. There's no seal between the lens and housing so expect some water and dust ingress.... good old ArrrRB.
