Bugger Bali, get out and see Australia before we sell it all to China.
I guess that would be the extra fat the 150 has to lug around.
Ahhh!
I thought they had already massaged a few extra KW from the newer D4D to compensate?

I spoke to DP Chip the other day and they have the new chip out for the 150. Although the engine is the same as the 120 apparently Toyota changed the ECU and plugs so the same plugs and loom that fits the 120 will not fit the 150. I had one in my Pajero and it was fantastic. Gave a bit extra power but also improved fuel economy.
Does anyone know a place that has the DP chip at a good price, they are mega expansive nowdays. I bought my last one a couple of years ago from a guy in Albury. He could sell them a couple of hundred dollers cheaper than anyone else.
I just had a 3" Genie turbo back exhaust and a Tunit installed by
1. Gold Coast 4WD & Performance Centre and
2. Troy from http://tunit.com.au/
The 4WD dyno was busy so we could not dyno tune it yet. However on setting 5 and a bit of street tuning it really transformed the car. The car takes off and pull up the hill with ease. It probably feels like a petrol Aurion atm.
We will install a K&N air filter (if there is one for the 150) and put it on the dyno next Tuesday.
I notice that a lot of reassuring information is available on the website. But there is one question missing from their FAQ section...
Can it reduce the lifespan of my engine?
Has anyone with technical knowledge got an answer for this? The logical part of me says "yes it is making the engine work harder therefore it will reduce lifespan", but then again i'm no expert when it comes to modern diesel engines..
Thanks.
