  • Accesories Tap In - Terminal Block

Have looked but nothing specific regarding this matter.

I am wondering if its possible to have a 6 line terminal block which is tapped from the accessories wire which comes out from the main fuse block under the dash.
I am wanting to run the accessories wire from switches to run the L.E.D. on the spotties switches and rear lights switches. Now these lines would only need 2mm wire surely yes.

Just dont want to run 3 or 4 or more lines soldered into a piece of the accesories red wire and make a mess of the wiring under the dash. Thinking the terminal block would be neater and safer under there.

Any thoughts sparkies here at PP ?

Re: Accesories Tap In - Terminal Block

Hi Golly, Im thinking you are pulling some power off the accessories to run the LEDs on your switches, there would be no problem putting in a small block to neaten up the wiring, and 2mm will be fine. What i am confused on is usually on the switch you have your power in and then out to the relay and all you need to do is earth the switch to run the backlight on it, you may be doing something different im not sure, but what you want to do will be fine, on my switches i have earthed all 6 backlights together to a BP connector and run the single wire down to an earth purely to neaten and have as less wiring as i need. Hope this helps in some way. Cheers

Yeah the switch is earthed to the body underneath dash. So yep need the tap into the accessories for the LED on the switch once in the on position.
Awesome, thanks for your help mate.
