  • Volt Meter

Having just bought a new Aux battery, I wanted an easy way to know the voltage of it.

I didn't really want to wire a volt meter in the cabin as there is enough stuff there already.

I searched the web and found this on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-BATTERY-TERM ... 240%3A1318

I have just installed it and it works a treat.

It's very heavy duty and has access points for the battery cable and four other wires to be connected.

It's a nothing job doing the install, there are no instructions, however, the blue wire goes to negative.

Just thought I would share this with you.

      Re: Volt Meter

      Looks good. Nice and simple.

Would have been handy the other night... alternator died on the way home from LCMP. Although I knew the battery was dead when the headlights couldn't be seen anymore

Don't forget fella's, this is only the second battery.

Me, I only need to keep an eye on it to ensure it's charging and keeping it's charge, hence the clamp meter.

          Re: Volt Meter

I have an in-cab pirahna DB monitor. Gives you the actual read out for both batteries instead of a little power bar. I find it great for keeping an eye on things when camping for a few days.
