I am hoping to have help identifying the amp hours on my deep cycle battery. The markings are as follows
Exrider XV24 MF 12v/1000a (MCA) 800a (CCA)
Tried googling but not that much luck. Thanks for your help.

Found some info. This appears to be a marine battery. Now whay would TJM fit a marine battery? Are they comparable to a deep cycle?
I was originally quoted a 105AH battery however according to the dealer it would not fit in so they put the pissy 65AH in. when I said that is not what i paid for they put in the above.
What do other people have in their prado?

Marine batteries are more rugged than most automotive ones, to resist impact and vibration from rough water travel.
They are able to crank and be run down and recharged (cycled) repeatedly so like the Exide Extreme, they are a bit of a hybrid deep cycle/crank unit.

Check my comments in this thread. Rocket Marine batteries are good.
From my understanding you need to watch out for how any battery charges back up from the point they have run down from. They have similar memory effects as a mobile phone battery.
Hope this helps.
