    OME Springs with Polyairs

Before you leap in I have just had Ride Pro shockers/springs and polyairs fitted to my 2000 TD Prado. Quite a bit cheaper that OME. I have heard from numerous sources that the OME is quite hard and a harsh ride. So far the ride pro is good. It is firm without being harsh.
It gave me about 35mm lift which is fine with me.

Thanks Pheonix, just a bit late though. Ive already payed for the suckers and should be here early next week. Ive got OME alround in the Vitara and ride well so im expecting similar outcome although with a little more than 35mm in lift. You dont have a great deal of choice in Alice and other guys ive spoken to say they ride well. Once I hit the corrigations, ill know if ive made the right choice.

        OME Suspension

For your info the front is now 765mm in height and the rear is 805mm.
I think this is about right for a prado.

I chose OME and Poly Air bags for my rig mainly due to price and avaliability here in Alice Springs. I could have gone Tough Dog but I was told their way too harsh on the corrigations and can get a bit hairy at high speed. Anyhow here it is.

First we measured up to see what we started with.

With the Prado jacked up and stands in place we first remove the old springs.

After a bit of stuffing around placing in a new spring we got the height of where to cut the bump stops.

In go the springs and air bags.

          Before suspension upgrade.

After install and sitting back on all fours.

          Air bags at 5psi.

          75mm lift looking good.

Air valves up under bumper and easy to get to.

Now the front. Old verses new, a big difference.

Tim starts adding the new coils.

The old rattle gun speeds things up.

Once the Prado was sitting back on all four wheels a quick measure up gave us another 75mm of height.
