  • lift kit on a 90 seriers 1998 toyota prado RV6

    hey guys
i was wondering if it would be possible to put a lift kit greater than 2" on a 90 series toyota prado RV6, with mud tires.
i have looked around and have not seen one with any sort of lift kit installed. cheers

In my research for my 2" lift everyone I spoke to said 2" will be about as far as you can go before you start to throw the front end angles out and start wearing components prematurely.

I was only after a 2" lift but with the HD springs in the back (MD's in the front) I got 97mm extra at the back
It's a bit bumpy when unladen but rides perfectly when there is the usual load of gear in the back.

Sorry, but can't help specifically with the 'how high' question.
        Cheers, Leon

          Lift

          Liam,

I have just put medium ride pro springs plus shocks into my 2000 TD RV as well as 245/75/16 ST's and this has given me a substantial lift on the original. Before the tyres were put on I gained 39 mm, which is plenty in my view.
