  • rear shocks.

    Obout to replace the rear shocks , had a quick look under.How do I undo the top.Has any one done this, all tips welcome... :?

    shock solution.

    thanks trojan.Going to try my bright idea. Toyota solved this problem on the 120 series by cutting holes in the floor pan and installing gromets.Going to do this to my 90 series.Another member has heard of this being done,its got to be easier in the long run considering the dificulty of the left rear shock. :idea:

      I wrote this somewhere else on this forum:

      I didn't have as much trouble with the rear left shock as it seems like many others did. I just used an ordinary 14mm spanner. The car was jacked up, wheel removed, spring removed (coz I undid the bottom first and the spring comes out with a bit of bouncing on the axle - release the handbrake for more down-travel, I think). I sat on the floor half in the wheel arch, and brought the spanner across from the right and on to the nut.
