Hi guys,
Just interested in others opinion of the standard bluetooth handsfree in the latest GXL. Mine sounds fantastic from in the car, but people at the other end often complain that it sounds faint or scratchy.

Robbo,
I agree that the sound in car is terrific.
Very clear and no problems with my Samsung 701.

No one has complained about quality though it is sensitive to sound as my daughter told me she could hear the A/c fan.

Robbo, when you are on the phone adjust the volume to around 6-7 i have found, it is balance between hearing things clearly and been echoing.
My wife uses it all of time and when i am talking to her it is as clear as.
We are using Nokia phone's.

My 3 cents.

Hi
I have a 2007 Grande with built-in Bluetooth. I have the same experience you got. I hear caller clear from my side but he can not hear me well. As I upgraded my car's head unit with Pioneer AVH-P3200BT, I decided to replace the BT.
The one comes with the Pioneer is awesome. Every one calls me hear me as good as when I am using my phone.

My old LGsomething 500 and missus HTC Desire both work well with the standard 120 bluetooth headunit.

Hi All
I have a Grande it came with the BT car kit installed looks like it a Nokia CK-7W this is what I see on my phone when I paired it. But I have a problem the volume on the car kit is very soft and I have no idea how to turn it up anyone got the same kit???This seem to be on the car side as no matter what phone you pair up the volume level is the same.
Any ideas??

Google Nokia CK-7W. I found the user guide and it says that to adjust the volume, turn the ring. Below is the link to the user guide:

Yes have seen the manual before and have looked for this Flipping dial but canít find it may have to undo the dash as the speaker seems to be mounted below the steering? :(
Will have to do another search.
Cheers

Maybe the previous owner lost the remote control, which is where the ring is on.
Can you locate the handsfree unit? From the user guide, it is the rectangular box with 3 squarish ports and 2 circular ports. The 2 circular ports are for the speaker and microphone. The left square port is for power, then port for wired connection to a Nokia phone, then port for remote control. If the port for the remote control has nothing plugged in, then the remote control has gone AWOL.

Here is a listing on ebay for the remote control

Do have a botton on the dash somewhere that says Nokia, the CK 7 has an button attached to the kit, if so the dail is the outside bit of the button.

On page 7 of this link it is the button marked no 2, that is what it should look like??
