  • How high do you really end up

    Hey guys
I have just put a 50mm lift kit on my 90 series prado and i am not convinced i ended up 50mm higher as i measured the height form the ground to the side step. I reckon i only got 30mm, so i was hoping to find someone with a standard vehicle to get some sizes .To keep things
fair i need someone with a 2002 turbo diesel TX with no heavy accessories
The measurement needs to be taken for the top of the 16''rim to the underside of the guard, measured vertically on level ground. Front and rear sizes would be great. I hope someone out there can help !!!

    cheers jimbo

ok ,not a bad idea team piggy ,trouble is there are not to many in the car yards. May be anyone who has done the supposed 50 mm lift could give the same sizes as mentioned in my first post?

      cheers jimbo

Have a look here http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/90s ... ows&tbl=11 from the Yahoo Prado site , should be around 745mm standard . Why do you want 50mm , might look good but doesnt work better, as you go up you loose downward wheel travel. 30mm lift works good unless you change shocks, alter the sway bars and drop the front diff and a few other bits.

Have replaced the shocks with bilsteins, I just wanted the 50mm because that seems to be the thing to get and no one has mentioned that
you have to do the other stuff. The king springs only give 30mm, but others seem to range between 40 to 45.

I had the OME 40mm before and swap them with King springs HD which I reckon gave approx 50mm of lift. The Kings were heavy duty ones so they suited more for carying extra loads and outback track

              My measurements are here...
              http://www.pradopoint.com/viewtopic.php?t=1248

25mm at the front and 95mm at the back  It's about time I re-measured to see if they have sagged/settled at all.
              Cheers, Leon
